While the shelter paperwork says he's six years old, our vet believes he's more like ten... He has a luxating patella on one back leg which will eventually require surgery. Scudders' mouth is in poor shape, needing a cleaning and he'll probably lose quite a few teeth once we get that done... <br /><br />So that's all the bad news... The good news is that his heart is fine and the decay in his mouth has not caused any heart issues that we know of... Even better news is that he is as sweet and friendly as they come, always interested in what is going on around him... <br /><br />He initially weighed 3 lbs at the shelter, but he's slowly gaining back a bit of the weight he so desperately needs - he's now about 3.5 pounds as a matter of fact...
